All about the Historic Monaco Grand Prix Group Tour 8-15 May 2024.

This prestigious weekend of historic racing takes place just before the Formula 1 event on the famous street circuit which still follows 80% of the original layout.

By joining us on our 2024 Historic Monaco Grand Prix group tour you will experience some wonderful roads in rural France on your way to and from the sparkling Cote d'Azur. Some you may have heard of, others are hidden gems we have been using for years.

The 4 star hotel you will be staying in for the race weekend will give you the full Monaco experience; after pulling back the curtains in the morning and taking in the view of the harbour you can walk to the circuit.

If you would prefer a shorter tour by flying to Nice or plan to make your own way through France we are also offering 3 night packages to this event.

The next bi-annual Historic Monaco Grand Prix is taking place the weekend before the Spa Classic so you have the opportunity to visit both events with us in one stunning combined tour, the 2024 FTT Continental.

    1. Day 1 Wednesday 8 May 2024

      Meet the Fasttracktours.co.uk team in Folkestone for an early afternoon Eurotunnel crossing or arrive at your first hotel in France on the edge of the Champagne region at a time convenient for you.

      The easy 2 hour drive from Calais will mean you are not too tired after your journey from the UK.

      Before dinner there will be plenty of time to freshen up, meet the rest of the group and enjoy a drink on the hotel's terrace overlooking the large lake.

    2. Day 2 Thursday 9 May 2024

      This morning you will have the chance to visit the historic Reims GP pits.

      From there you can choose between a cross country route or the more direct motorway to your next hotel in Grenoble.

    3. Day 3 Friday 10 May 2024

      Whichever route you follow today it will include sections of the famous Route Napoleon. This superb road has a smooth surface and meanders through some stunning scenery in the foothills of the Alps.

    4. Day 4 Saturday 11 May 2024

      Wander through the race Paddocks before watching the final qualifying sessions and the first races from your reserved grandstand seat.

      If you would like to explore the area, we will provide you with a circular route so you can enjoy roads made famous by the Monte Carlo Rally such as the Col de Turini.

      This evening is always a good time to walk along the circuit near the swimming pool and soak up the atmosphere while parties at bars such as The Rascasse are in full swing or you could try your luck in the world famous casino.

      For something quieter head to the charming old town on top of the hill where you will have a great view of the harbour and find a good selection of affordable restaurants.

    5. Day 5 Sunday 12 May 2024

      A full day of racing in Monaco.

      Today you will witness a priceless collection of Grand Prix cars being raced on the limit inches from the notorious Monaco barriers.

    6. Day 6 Monday 13 May 2024

      Your journey north begins today.

      On the way to Lyon you will experience more wonderful roads in the Alpes-Maritimes.

    7. Day 7 Tuesday 14 May 2024

      After another day driving on more of France’s quiet rural roads, this time through the wonderful and relatively unknown Morvan region, you will arrive back at your first hotel.

      Return to Calais for the Channel crossing of your choice.

    In our opinion you must spend some time spectating in Casino Square simply because the view of the historic heart of Monaco has hardly changed since the very first race was held here in 1929. We recommend this stand for the practice and qualifying sessions on Saturday. It is small and always sells out quickly so booking early is essential.

    Wider views of the circuit are available in the harbour area so our suggestions for the racing on Sunday are stands K (overlooking the harbour), L (looking down the pit straight) or T (opposite the pit lane). Large screens broadcasting the action from around the circuit can be seen from all of these stands.
