Group Tours – Important information
If you choose to take part in one of our Group Tours you will be sent a set of detailed and carefully researched maps and GPS files to download before you leave home. These enable you to relax and concentrate on enjoying the wonderful roads and scenery.
We have found that it is no longer necessary to provide a road book containing turn by turn instructions and that most people are comfortable with using a sat nav, saving the maps to their phone/tablet or printing them in as much detail as deemed necessary. If you would prefer a print out of the full details of the route it can be provided.
At least 2 routes will be offered for most days:
- If you would prefer to spend time relaxing at the hotel or exploring the local area follow the more direct route.
- There will also be a longer all day option which gives you the chance to make the most of the excellent roads available.
Many people choose to follow the 'scenic' route in the morning and take a direct route to the hotel after lunch.
Each day the routes and options for the following day will be discussed to give you the chance to ask questions.
You will not be driving as part of a convoy. You are encouraged to leave each hotel when you are ready and travel at your own pace. It does not take long for people to make new friends on our tours and small groups always form.
The routes we provide are only suggestions and you are free to find your own way to the next hotel if you wish. The only requirement is that you arrive in time for dinner each evening.
Our Group Tours are not races.
Each individual is responsible for their own actions and should drive within the law and their own capabilities.
You will be asked to sign a disclaimer before the tour commences.
Depending on the size of the tour you will be supported by an experienced team of up to 3 cars.
